Why is hydration important for the skin?

It is important to help our skin perform at its best. Skin that is not hydrated enough will become dry, tight and flaky. The dry flaky cells on the surface also don't reflect light as well, making the skin look dull, rough and unhealthy. Hydrated skin looks healthier, smoother and softer.
Most cases people get confused between the difference of moisture and hydration. " WHAT DOES THE SKIN NEED?"

MOISTURE = OIL

  • Elixirs protects and enhances skin's lapid barrier
  • All skin types needs moisture
  • Added infusion of ingredients helps other skin concerns
Think of it like a big drink of water for your skin. There are multiple benefits of hyaluronic acid, and hydration is key. No matter the skin type (dry skin, oily, combination) or concern (acne, aging, dullness) every skin needs hydration.
Hyaluronic Acid helps reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles retaining moisture to the skin, creating a plumping effect. When the skin is protected and hydrated, increased skin cell production can take place, as the skin isn't busy fighting for hydration. This leads to smoother, plumper skin cells.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally present in the human body. It is found in the highest concentrations in fluids in the eyes and joints. The hyaluronic acid that is used as medicine is extracted from rooster combs or made by bacteria in the laboratory.
FW Beauty Skin Quench is Plant-based Hyaluronic Acid and  is extracted from plant fermentation.
Dehydration refers to a skin condition. A good test, is to pinch your cheek. If it's wrinkling with gentle pressure instead of holding its shape, your skin cells are desperate for water. Dehydrated skin will feel tight, look dull in the mirror, and you may notice more exaggerated wrinkles, or ones in places you don't remember having them, along with more exaggerated dark circles beneath your eyes. Common signs of dehydrated skin include redness, lots of congestion, and inflammation.
 There no such thing as a magic product and other actions need to be taken such as really looking into what you eat, how you sleep, your environment ect.  Everything goes hand in hand. A topical product can just do that, work on the top but the other changes made can help to improve the skin from within.
As dead skin builds up, it can diminish the absorption of moisturisers. It is recommended to exfoliate at least once a week to remove dead skin cells, which allows your moisturiser to work better.
Dehydration skin condition is like any other "condition" it is temporary and can be helped. It is best to apply the hydraytors on clean damp skin for better absorption and then continue with your skincare routine.
