How to cover dark circle with makeup

Often times, dark circles are hereditary. In this case, no amount of Vitamin C serums or heavy night creams are going to completely erase them. They are also sometimes caused by lack of sleep and dehydration. Get your beauty sleep and carry a refillable water bottle with you everywhere instead," Erin Thomas, a MAC makeup artist with four years experience.

Depending on a person's skin tone, dark circles can tend to have purple-ish or blue-ish hues. To conceal dark circles, the same colour wheel principle applies. People with fairer skin may opt for yellow, peach, or pink coloured concealers. Darker skin may benefit more from an orange shade.

When it comes to camouflaging dark circles, at the end of the day, a concealer is by far your best bet. Eye creams can help to a certain extent but it takes time to see those effects. A good undereye concealer, on the other hand, can give you complete coverage and make you look bright-eyed in seconds.
You can't have a concealer that's too light. While you can apply your concealer before your foundation, many makeup artists recommend applying concealer after to avoid looking cakey and to avoid creasing.
Pro tip!
It best to apply a slightly peachy and darker concealer first. Blend it it out and then apply your skin tone concealer. the darker tone helps to act as a corrector and nutralises the darker under eyes.
