Dry skin during winter

fwbeauty
Dry skin is especially common in the winter months, when the humidity level outside drops. When the air outside is cold and dry, the water in your skin evaporates more quickly; this makes your skin feel dry and tight, and makes it look flaky. While it can happen at any time of the year, it's known to become more common during the winter months.
Harsh winter winds and dry indoor heat can make the problem worse and lead to cracked and even bleeding skin. While additional moisture helps, you can do more to treat your skin. Times like this a balm texture is good as it is slower to absorb, therefore keeping the skin moist for longer.
It is important to adjust your skincare routine as the seasons change because environmental conditions are a key contributor to overall skin health.
Just like you switch up your wardrobe with the seasons, the same should be done with your skincare routine. Whether you have sensitive skin or not, your skin can be affected by seasonal changes in the weather, especially with harsh winter conditions or hot summer sun.
