YOUR FIRST CLEANSE, RECONSIDERED

Key benefits

+

Dissolves daily build-up

An oil-based cleanse helps loosen makeup, sunscreen and excess surface oils.

+

Soft, comfortable skin

A nourishing oil blend leaves skin feeling supple after thorough removal.

+

Balm-to-oil texture

The rich balm melts as you massage, giving slip without the need to scrub.

+

A fresh start to your routine

Use as your first cleanse before a water-based cleanser when double cleansing is needed.

MASSAGE. ADD WATER. REMOVE.

How to use & layer

Start with dry hands and dry skin

Take a small amount with clean, dry fingertips or a clean spatula. Gently massage over dry skin in circular motions, focusing on makeup and sunscreen. Avoid direct contact with the eyes.

Wet your hands with lukewarm water and massage again. Rinse thoroughly, using a soft damp cloth to remove any remaining balm. Avoid hot water and vigorous rubbing.

Your evening cleansing routine

1. Melt

Massage a small amount of balm onto dry skin to loosen makeup and SPF.

2. Remove

Add water, then rinse or gently wipe away with a soft damp cloth.

3. Cleanse again, if needed

Follow with a water-based cleanser such as Surface Reset, according to your skin's tolerance.

4. Replenish

Continue with your serum and moisturiser. Use sunscreen in your morning routine.

Common cleansing mistakes

Applying the balm to wet skin too early can make it harder to massage through makeup. Begin on dry skin, then add water.

More pressure does not mean a better cleanse. Massage gently and remove the balm completely rather than scrubbing or leaving it on as a treatment.

You do not need to double cleanse every time. Adjust to your makeup, SPF use and skin comfort.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Is this a cleanser or a leave-on balm?

It is a rinse-off cleanser. Massage onto dry skin, add water and remove thoroughly. Follow with moisturiser rather than leaving the cleansing balm on overnight.

Should I use it on wet or dry skin?

Start on dry skin with dry hands. Add lukewarm water after massaging through makeup and SPF.

Do I always need a second cleanser?

No. A second cleanse can be useful after makeup or sunscreen, or if residue remains. Adjust to your skin's needs and avoid over-cleansing.

Can I use it around my eyes?

Avoid direct contact with the eyes. For eye makeup, use a remover labelled for that purpose. Rinse thoroughly with water if the balm enters the eyes.

Is it suitable for oily or sensitive skin?

Oil-based cleansing can be part of different routines, but individual tolerance varies. Patch test, remove the balm thoroughly and stop use if irritation or breakouts develop. No product can guarantee that it will never clog pores.

Will it treat dark spots?

This is a cleansing step, not a leave-on dark-spot treatment. Use it to remove daily build-up, then choose targeted care for uneven-looking tone and wear sunscreen during the day.

How much should I use?

Start with a small amount, enough to massage comfortably over the face without pulling. Adjust to the amount of makeup or SPF you are removing.
