Scalp treatment is the new skincare

Unfortunately, a lot of our everyday routine contributes to an unhealthy scalp (think stress, pollution, and poor eating habits). Among one of the biggest culprits is build up around the hair follicles, which is caused by the overuse of hair and scalp products, like dry shampoo, heavy oils, and sprays.

Ways to get a healthy scalp
  1. Use gentle hair care products. Avoiding products that contain sulphates, alcohols, or fragrances may help improve your scalp health.
  2. Shampoo gently.
  3. Wash less often.
  4. Try an omega-3 supplement.
  5. Eat more antioxidants.
  6. Try probiotics.
  7. Use a scalp scrub.

Deep repair hair mask

Scalp exfoliation is usually performed on wet, just-shampooed hair. After you comb through and separate sections of your hair, you can apply the scrub with your fingertips. You can also use a brush or glove designed for exfoliation. If you're using a physical exfoliant, rubbing in a gentle, circular motion can help.

How do you remove dead cells from your scalp?
Take a teasing brush and lightly (this is key as too much pressure can cause more issues than it solves) buff away at the scalp. This helps to loosen any dead skin cells and prepare for the actual scrub. After cleansing your hair of any product, gently massage the scrub into your scalp and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
